The purpose of this study is to find out whether Islamic learning is influenced by a contextual approach in class X students of MA Anwarul Hidayah Menes. The application of a learning approach that is still conventional so that learning is less interesting for students is the root of the problem of low Islamic learning ability. The standard learning model makes learning less interesting for students, only a small percentage of students participate in group work activities or discussions and complete group assignments. Students' learning abilities end up being poor because they don't pay attention and are not responsible for group assignments. Students' learning ability is decreasing over time. This study uses a quantitative experimental approach. The ability to learn Islam before and after being given a contextual approach. Student learning outcomes were initially still relatively low, with an average score of only 61.64. However, after the application of the contextual approach, the average score increased to 71.08. This shows that the contextual approach significantly improves the learning ability of students in class X MA Anwarul Hidayah Menes.
