This article discusses the role of the Qur'an as a primary source of education and literacy in fostering scientific change within society through social interpretation methods. According to the Qur'an, education is an effort to build morality, spirituality, and overall social awareness, not just a process of exchanging knowledge. examined in a social context, the verses related to knowledge, reading (iqra'), thinking, and the use of reason emphasize that Islamic literacy consists of intellectual and ethical aspects. Furthermore, this research investigates how the public's understanding of educational verses evolves with the passage of time and the socio-cultural issues encountered. This research explains that the Quran offers a solid theoretical foundation for building a just, open, and goodness-oriented literacy and education for society. This research uses a qualitative method based on literature study and a social interpretation approach. The results show that the renewal of Qur'anic values in the world of education is very significant in addressing the ongoing literacy crisis and the decline in moral quality.
